Verification Selfie Recheck FAQ

What is Selfie Recheck?

Selfie Recheck is a requirement to complete a facial capture scan to verify that you are the physical individual who originally completed the identity verification process on your account. Lobbies flagged as suspicious by automated detection systems trigger a Selfie Recheck.

Why are Selfie Rechecks active?

The system blocks verification system abuse, including the purchase of pre-verified profiles and using another person's identity to validate a secondary account.

Who is required to complete a Selfie Recheck?

The system triggers a Selfie Recheck exclusively on accounts flagged for suspicious verification data or security indicators.

What causes an account to be flagged as suspicious?

Detection criteria remain confidential to prevent optimization against security protocols. Flags are triggered by specific account changes, including rapid regional variations and suspicious match activity trends.

How do I complete a Selfie Recheck?

The process utilizes the identical facial capture interface as the initial verification step, but it does not require you to upload a physical identification document. A full technical guide to the interface is available here.

How long do I have to complete the Selfie Recheck?

The system does not enforce a completion deadline or timer. However, your account is barred from entering any matchmaking queue until the face scan is completed. You receive a maximum of 5 attempts to pass the scan.

What happens if I am not the individual who originally verified the account?

Verifying an account using someone else's identity violates platform rules. If you did not personally complete the original identity verification on the account, you cannot pass the Selfie Recheck, and the restriction will remain on the profile.

Can someone else complete the Selfie Recheck for me?

No. You must match the biometric profile recorded during the original account verification. Submissions where the facial data does not match the historical registration log will fail.

What if my appearance has changed?

Minor physical variations, including adjustments to your hairstyle, facial hair, or glasses, do not interfere with the automated verification algorithm. If you have undergone significant structural changes since your initial verification and the automated scan fails, open a support ticket for manual review.

What if I do not have access to a smartphone?

You must use a device equipped with a front-facing camera to complete the biometric face scan. You can use a borrowed smartphone to access the verification link, but you must personally complete the live facial capture step.

What can I do if my Selfie Recheck failed?

You have 5 automated attempts to complete the scan. If you are the original owner who verified the account and your profile remains locked after 5 attempts, open a support ticket here. The support team will review your verification logs to troubleshoot the access block.

Can I complete this process before being prompted?

No. You cannot pre-emptively complete a Selfie Recheck. The verification interface only activates if your account triggers an automated security flag.

Do I receive my Elo back if an opponent fails their Selfie Recheck?

No. When an account fails the Selfie Recheck, the system restricts that account from entering matchmaking queues. No match ban is applied to the historical record, which means no Elo adjustments are returned to prior opponents.
