Update Your System

The easiest way to resolve this error is to update Windows.

  1. Open Windows Update and check for new security updates.
  2. Install any available updates.

Alternative Update Methods

If Windows Update isn't working or finds no new updates, you can try one of these official Microsoft solutions:

Important: Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU)

Standard support for Windows 10 ended on October 14, 2025.

If you are still using Windows 10, your system will stop receiving security patches unless you enroll in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.

There are several ways to enroll in this program (some of which may be free). For full details on how to enable ESU and keep your system compatible, please visit the official Microsoft page:

Note: If your hardware is compatible, upgrading to Windows 11 is another free and easy way to resolve this issue permanently.

Compatibility Requirements

We only support versions of Windows 10 that are currently receiving security updates. This includes builds 22H2 (19045) and higher. If your Windows 10 version is older, you must upgrade it.

Note: If you are using a modified or cracked version of Windows that prevents you from installing updates, we cannot provide support. You'll need to either install the updates manually or install a legitimate version of the operating system.
