AFK/Leaver/noShow Bans & Elo FAQ

System Rules for AFK, Leaver, and noShow Cooldowns

The platform enforces temporary matchmaking restrictions when accounts fail to join or abandon live matchrooms. This guide outlines the execution rules, stacking parameters, and Elo modifiers linked to these restrictions.

Cooldown Classifications and Execution Mechanics

AFK, Leaver, and noShow restrictions function identically. They block your account from entering any matchmaking queue for a defined duration. These restrictions do not block your profile from participating in structured platform tournaments.

Leaver Restriction

A Leaver penalty applies automatically if your account disconnects from a live server for a cumulative total of more than 5 minutes during a match. If you cross this 5-minute threshold, the account is permanently tagged with a Leaver penalty for that match record, even if you subsequently reconnect and complete the game.

noShow Restriction

A noShow penalty applies automatically when you fail to connect to the assigned match server within the designated warm-up window, resulting in the automated cancellation of the matchroom.

Cooldown Durations and Stacking Rules

How long do these restrictions last?

The baseline duration for an initial Leaver or noShow restriction is 30 minutes. Penalty lengths increase dynamically based on the total number of match drops or queue dodges recorded on your account within a rolling 30-day window.

Leaver and noShow infractions compile into a single system index. They do not track on independent limits. For example, if your account records 2 Leaver penalties and 1 noShow penalty within a 30-day period, the system processes your next infraction at the 4-penalty tier, triggering an escalated cooldown duration.

Expired cooldown entries cannot be cleared or rolled back from your historical profile index.

Appeals and Support Guidelines

How can I get unbanned?

Queue restrictions enforce match accountability and are structurally final. Cooldown penalties will not be manually adjusted or removed for individual local hardware or network errors, including:

  • Local internet connectivity drops or ISP routing failures.

  • Local software crashes or operating system errors.

  • Background Steam client updates or Valve network interruptions.

If database logs indicate an unmerited restriction, submit an appeal ticket under the category I am banned > Temporary ban > AFK/Leaver ban.

Support teams can clear a cooldown restriction only upon verifying an unlogged system error. Submitting multiple or repetitive tickets requesting the deletion of automated cooldowns results in the automated denial of all pending and future restriction appeals.

Elo Modifiers for Abandoned Matches

Why did I lose double Elo after a match?

If you are marked as a leaver and your team loses the match, the database deducts twice the standard calculated Elo value for that lobby.

I did not mean to leave. Can I get my Elo back?

Elo deductions incurred due to account disconnection are permanent. If your connection dropped due to a verified platform server fault that terminated the lobby for all participating players simultaneously, submit a ticket to request a manual adjustment. This adjustment executes strictly when platform database logs validate a server-side malfunction at the exact timestamp of the match.

The platform does not restore Elo lost due to disconnections caused by local technical errors, including:

  • Local internet connectivity drops or ISP routing failures.

  • Local software crashes or operating system errors.

  • Background Steam client updates or Valve network interruptions.

My teammate left a match. Can I get my Elo back?

If a player on your team is marked as a leaver, your account's potential Elo loss is reduced by 50% if the match concludes in a defeat. The platform does not issue additional manual Elo restorations for matches featuring an abandoned teammate.

This 50% Elo loss reduction does not apply if you entered the matchmaking queue inside a pre-made party or a 5-stack with the individual who abandoned the match. If a member of your party incurs a Leaver penalty, all associated party profiles receive the full standard Elo deduction upon a loss.

We won the match without our teammate. Do we receive additional Elo?

No. The matchmaking database does not award performance multipliers or double Elo rewards if your team wins a match while fielding a compromised roster. Elo distribution follows the initial probability calculation of the match room.
