What is an AFK/Leaver/noShow ban?
Both Leaver and noShow bans work in the same way, they are bans applied for leaving or not joining a match, which prevent you from queuing up for another match for a set period of time. These bans will not prevent you from playing in tournaments. These bans will stack based on how many you have received in the past 30 days.
Leaver Ban
A leaver ban is applied to players who disconnect from an ongoing match for more than 5 minutes. Even if the player connects back to the match after the 5 minute timer, they will still be marked as a leaver.
noShow Ban
A noShow ban is applied to players who do not join a match within the allowed time period, causing the match to be cancelled.
How long do these bans last?
The initial length of a leaver ban and a noShow ban is 30 minutes. The ban length will increase based on how many of these bans you have received in the past 30 days.
Please note that these bans stack together, there is not a separate stack for each ban, so if you have received 2 leaver bans and 1 noShow ban recently, you will have a 3 ban stack, resulting in a longer cooldown than expected.
How can I get unbanned?
These bans are placed for a reason and generally will not be removed. We cannot remove bans for any of the following reasons:
- Internet issues
- Game crashes
- Steam updates
If you believe that your ban was not warranted, you can contact support to request an unban using the contact reason “I am banned > Temporary ban > AFK/Leaver ban”.
We may be able to remove the occasional ban for you, but we cannot keep doing this over and over again. Repeated tickets requesting ban removal will result in the automatic denial of any further requests.
Please note; we cannot remove expired cooldowns from your stack, the stacking effect is in place for a reason to prevent repeated dodging/leaving of matches.
Why have I lost so much elo?
If you are marked as a leaver in a match, you will lose double the expected elo from that match.
I didn’t mean to leave, can I get my elo back?
Additional elo loss is not returned for players who leave a match. If you were disconnected from the match due to server issues affecting everyone in the match, you can make a ticket to request to return the lost elo from this match. Please note that we will only be able to do this if we can confirm that there was an issue with the server at the time of the match.
We cannot return any elo lost due to leaving a match for the following issues:
- Internet issues
- Game crashes
- Steam updates
My teammate left a match, can I get my elo back?
If a player you get matched with leaves a match, you will only lose half of the expected elo from that match. We cannot return any additional elo due to players leaving matches.
Please note that if you were partied with the player who left the match, you and anyone else in the party will still lose the normal amount of elo.
We played without a teammate and won but didn't win double the Elo
At this time we do not award any compensation (such as double the Elo) if you win a match with a player who was marked as a leaver.
