What is Veteran Matching?
This is a background check that our matcher does to match players with a similar number of matches together in Super Matches and Premium Super Matches. This works to ensure players of similar experience get matched with and against each other to further improve balance.
Who has access to Veteran Matching?
Veteran Matching is automatically enabled in Super Matches and Premium Super Matches. Please note, only subscribers have the option to guarantee matching into these kinds of matches, but non-subscribed players can be matched into Super Matches if their party meets the criteria.
How does Veteran Matching work?
When queuing for a Super Match or Premium Super Match on FACEIT, the FACEIT matcher will work to match your with and against other players with a similar number of matches played on FACEIT for the initial period of time when you join the queue. If a match is not found during this period you may then move into a mixed grouping of subscribers and verified players before being put in a wider pool.
I have a lot of matches on FACEIT, why am I not getting matched with similar players?
There are a number of brackets of players that you can be matched with based on how many matches you have played on FACEIT. If matching is taking too long, this will be expanded so the selection will not be as harsh, meaning that you could then be matched with players with more/less matches.
Can I turn off Veteran Matching?
When queuing for a Super Match or Premium Super Match, Veteran Matching will always be enabled. If you are queuing for a classic match there will be no Veteran Matching.
