GDPR Deletion - FAQ

Which information have you kept about me?

We maintained a record of any personal data whose processing is needed for the following purposes:

• preventing cheating;
• preventing other unsportsmanlike conduct and behaviour that are sanctioned in our terms and conditions and ban policy;
• ensuring our competitions are fair and our competition terms and conditions are complied with by entrants;
• maintaining historical rankings, statistics and leaderboards; and
• maintaining basic records of your historical competitions’ participation.

If my account has been deleted, can I use my email to create a new account?

If you have requested for your account to be deleted, it means your email has been removed from our records. Therefore, you can use the same email to create a new account.

Can I use my Nickname to create another account?

No, you cannot not. Nicknames are necessary to maintain basic historical records of your historical competitions’ participation as well as historical rankings, statistics and leaderboards.

Can I now link CS2 or any game that was connected to my deleted account to a new FACEIT account?

No, you cannot. A record of your game ids is maintained in light of the following purposes:

• preventing cheating;
• preventing other unsportsmanlike conduct and behaviour that are sanctioned in our terms and conditions and ban policy;
• ensuring our competitions are fair and our competition terms and conditions are complied with by entrants;
• maintaining historical rankings, statistics and leaderboards; and
• maintaining basic records of your historical competitions’ participation.

Therefore, you will not be able to connect any of those game accounts to a new FACEIT account.

Can I create a new account after deleting an account?

You are not allowed to create a new account right away, as per our deactivation policy, you must wait 6 months after deleting an account before you are allowed to play again on another account.
