How do I delete my account and have my personal details deleted on FACEIT?

Before you start

Before you delete your account please make sure that you are aware of our policies regarding creating a new account after a deletion:

  • Deletion is permanent, you will not be able to recover the account in the future.
  • Once your account is deleted, you must wait 6 months before you are allowed to play again on another account. This 6 month period begins from the moment that you receive the email confirming that the account has been deleted.
  • You can only verify again on another account after this 6 month waiting period.
  • Your Steam ID will NOT be released, so you will not be able to use it again on another account.

How to start the deletion process

You can now delete your account directly from your account settings on a PC or a mobile phone.

On PC

First, make sure that you are signed into the account that you want to delete and head to your account settings page. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on the ‘DELETE’ button under the Delete Account section.

You will then need to enter your FACEIT password to confirm that you want to continue with the deletion process. Type in your password and then click ‘DELETE ACCOUNT’

You will then be logged out of your account and your account will enter the 30 day wait period before it is finally deleted. You will receive a confirmation email to the email on your FACEIT account confirming that the deletion request has been received.

On Mobile

First, make sure that you are signed into the account that you want to delete. Head to your account settings page by tapping on your profile image in the top left corner, then the settings cog in the top right corner and then selecting ‘Account’.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on the ‘DELETE’ button under the ‘Delete account’ section. You will then need to type in your FACEIT password to confirm that you want to delete the account.

You will then be logged out of your account and your account will enter the 30 day wait period before it is finally deleted. You will receive a confirmation email to the email on your FACEIT account confirming that the deletion request has been received.

How to cancel the deletion process

You can stop the deletion process and recover your account at any time within the 30 day waiting period by simply logging into your account on PC or mobile. You will receive an email confirming that the process has been canceled.

FAQs

How can I delete my account if it is already deactivated?

If your account is already deactivated you can start the deletion process through a ticket. You can do this by creating a ticket under the contact reason ‘Legal Queries, Exercise Your Data Protection Rights, Illegal Content  > Personal Data Removal’.

How can I delete my account if it is banned?

If you cannot log into your account because of a ban, you can start the deletion process through a ticket. You can do this by creating a ticket under the contact reason ‘Legal Queries, Exercise Your Data Protection Rights, Illegal Content  > Personal Data Removal’.

Please note that in some cases we may have a legal basis to deny the deletion of a banned account in order to protect the integrity of the platform.

Can I skip the 30 day waiting period and immediately delete my account?

No, the 30 day waiting period is there in-case you change your mind and want to continue using your account. This cannot be skipped, no matter how sure you are that you want the account deleted.
