Introduction
At FACEIT, we strive to create an enjoyable, clean, competitive, and respectful environment for all players. The FACEIT Content Standards are designed to help promote this by explaining the type of content we do not allow on the platform. These standards apply to all content shared through FACEIT, whether it's through voice, text or images.
If you violate the FACEIT Content Standards, we might take action against your account and content.
If you see something that you think violates the FACEIT Content Standards or our principle of maintaining an enjoyable, clean, competitive, and respectful environment for all players, please report this to us from the player's profile. You can find how to do this here.
Prohibited content
Discriminatory or threatening content
We don’t tolerate content that promotes or results in discrimination or harassment. This includes:
- ❌Hate Speech and Discrimination. Content that shows, references or promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on characteristics such as age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or political opinion is prohibited.
- ❌Harassment and Bullying. Content that harasses, bullies, or threatens individuals’ real lives, or incites others to participate in such activities, is not allowed.
- ❌Coercive and controlling behaviour. Content that seeks to intimidate, manipulate, exploit, or exert undue influence over others is prohibited.
Violent or extremist content
We don’t permit content that shows or promotes real-word violence or extremism. This includes:
- ❌Violence and Gore. We prohibit content that shows, references or promotes actual violence, bodily harm, serious physical or psychological abuse, or glorifies war crimes, weapons offences or human rights violations.
- ❌Terrorism and Extremism. Content that shows, references, or promotes acts of terrorism, totalitarianism or extremism is not allowed.
Romantic or Sexual Content
Content that contains sexually explicit material, nudity, or pornographic acts is not allowed. This includes:
- ❌Any Sexual Content. We prohibit content that depicts sexual activity or intimacy, seeks real-world romantic or sexual relationships, or includes sexually explicit conversations.
- ❌Child Sexual Abuse Material. Any content that shows, references or promotes child sexual exploitation is prohibited.
Illegal Activities
We don’t permit content that is illegal or shows, references or promotes illegal activities. This includes:
- ❌Human trafficking or slavery.
- ❌Any illegal Goods and Services.
- ❌Unlawful Immigration.
- ❌Drugs and Harmful Substances.
- ❌Financial Crimes and Corruption.
- ❌Animal cruelty.
Suicide and self-injury
At FACEIT we aim to do our best to support players and we want members of our community to seek help if they are experiencing suicidal thoughts or considering self-harm.
- ❌Suicide or self-injury related content. We will remove any content that shows, references or promotes suicide, self-injury or other harmful behaviors.
Controversial issues and misinformation
We want our community to be a space for players to connect and participate in gameplay, and we want to focus on the important stuff – the games. We’re not a forum for discussing real-world issues or spreading misinformation. We want to keep FACEIT free from:
- ❌Controversial issues. This includes content that involves controversial topics that entail heatedness, toxicity or aggression, such as war and politics.
- ❌Misinformation. This includes content that spreads obviously false or misleading information, hoaxes, or conspiracy theories.
Infringing or Unauthorized Content
- ❌Content that infringes or violates someone else’s rights, including intellectual property rights, is not allowed. You must own the content you share or have obtained the necessary rights to share someone else’s content.
Other
- ❌Damage to the public health. Content that shows, references or promotes dangerous health behaviours or undermines public health initiatives is not allowed.
- ❌Unnecessary personal information. Content that reveals or solicits personal information of players, such as addresses, phone numbers or financial details is not permitted.
- ❌Minors . We don’t allow content that exploits children in any way or puts them at risk.
