How does RWS work?
RWS, or Round Win Shares, is a statistic to show how much you contributed to the match. Damage or kills can be inflated by ecos and exit frags, but RWS tries to better capture how much players performed. No statistic is perfect and some players blame them for creating a more toxic atmosphere. However, when combined with a dozen other pieces of data like entry, or trades, plus gameplay highlights, you can get a better feel for a player’s performance.

RWS goes from 0 to 100: higher is better
- ZyWoO had an amazing 16 RWS in his ESEA League season before Vitality, the average was between 9-10, while the worst player in the season had 5.17.
- 100 total RWS is awarded each round to players on the winning team. If a round ends with a player getting an ace, the 100 RWS will be divided among the players on the winning team (in this case, only 1) based on the total damage during the round.
- All players on the losing team receive 0 RWS for the lost round.
Example #1: You deal 140 damage and everyone else deals 360 total damage, you will receive 28 RWS (140 divided by 500) for that round. If you lose the next round, you now have an average of 14.
For rounds that end with a player successfully planting (exploding the bomb) or defusing, the player who completes the objective will receive 30 RWS, and the remaining 70 RWS will be divided among the players based on the total damage during the round.
Example #2: You plant the bomb and it explodes, you deal 0 damage, and everyone else did 50 damage. You will receive 30 RWS (30 for planting and achieving an explosion), and everyone else will receive 17.50 RWS (70% of the 50 damage divided by 200 of the total damage for the round).
Example #3: You manage to defuse the bomb, and you deal 100 damage, while everyone else on your team deals 50. You will receive 53.33 RWS (30 for defusing and 70% of your 100 damage divided by 300, which is the total damage), and everyone else will receive 11.67 RWS (70% of the 50 damage divided by 300).
Example #4: You push B, get one 100 damage kill and tag another for 20. You are immediately traded, and lose the bombsite. Your team lose the round and receive 0 RWS.
Why aren't all the new stats from the League match pages on the leaderboard? Where's RWS?
The new match data like RWS isn’t ready to roll out across multiple matches just yet. We’re working on it, though. We didn’t want that to slow down the leaderboards, so we released them now and stats combined across multiple matches are coming soon.
Why do the League stats take so long to load?
We're still working on the tech here, we've taken a few shortcuts to get the pages live for the end of the season. We wanted players to be able to use them to improve and scout new talent for the upcoming season but we're working to improve the processing speed and depth.
How do I see the old scoreboard on Match Pages?
If you want to toggle back to the old scoreboard, please select the button in the top right and you can see the old view.
How do I see the new FACEIT match pages?
You can try the new FACEIT matches pages by going to any ESEA League official match from last season. You can view a full list here and browse the divisions to look at semi-pro or amateur matches.
These statistics will be coming to more FACEIT games this Summer.
When are the new League match pages coming to FACEIT matchmaking games?
We started launching the new match pages for ESEA League officials first. Since ESEA League players are the most competitive players and play as a team, the new pages shouldn’t have any unintended affect on toxicity and we can get feedback to adjust before rolling them out to more players.
Why are my ESEA League match stats not displaying?
We automatically processed all Season 53 matches. Older ESEA League seasons won’t get the new layout as we didn’t track the data for those matches at that time. However, they are available with additional statistics on CSstats.gg if you search for your Steam profile.
If the match had an unexpected result, like a match medic, server crash, !restart, or other result, it’s possible the statistics will not track accurately or the full level of detail will not be possible.
If your ESEA League official match doesn’t have the new match statistics instantly, please give them 24 hours to come up as if there is lots of simultaneous officials (like at default time) then it can take a bit of time for them to process. If they’re not up after a day, please contact FACEIT support here and we will try to get them for you.
My statistics are wrong. Can you correct them?
If your statistics from an ESEA League official are definitely wrong, please contact FACEIT support here with the following.
For example, if you feel you should have ace tracked that wasn’t on the page:
- Open a support ticket
- Link to the match
- Tell us the round that you think is incorrect and what the statistic you think should have been
You don’t need to calculate every point of damage again but it would be nice to tell us, for example, “The match page says there was no ace but I got one in round 3 of this game”. That way, we have a clear way to look into it and see if anything went wrong.
Can I get these advanced match statistics for old ESEA League matches?
Unfortunately, with millions of matches on FACEIT, we don’t store every demo and log every point of data from matches. These are automatically deleted after players typically stop looking at them. We therefore can’t recover old matches before we started tracking this data.
Will my FACEIT profile show these stats eventually?
Maybe! We first want to take on feedback from the League players about what they think is useful and what they think would take these to the next level. Then we want to look at giving these pages to more players later this Summer.
