FPL 2025 Overview

Since 2015, FACEIT Pro League (FPL) has been bridging the gap between aspiring talents and established professionals in competitive gaming. What started as a solution to two distinct problems - professional players seeking higher-skilled matches and emerging talents looking for exposure - has evolved into one of gaming's most prestigious competitive environments.

At its core, FPL operates on a points-based system that rewards active participation and excellence. Players earn FPL Points through participating in weekly FPL events, with these points contributing to seasonal leaderboards that offer substantial prize pools - $30,000 in Europe, $15,000 in North America, and $5,000 in South America.

The league runs on a structured schedule, with dedicated playing times across different regions. European players compete on Friday and Saturday nights, while North American players have extended windows from Thursday through Saturday. This scheduling allows for focused, high-quality matches when players are most likely to be available.

What sets FPL apart is its careful curation of talent. The league maintains its competitive integrity through a thorough verification process, ensuring players meet both skill and behavioral standards. Toxic behavior and suspicious activity are actively monitored, maintaining the professional environment that makes FPL valuable for both established pros and upcoming talents.

The path to FPL status is merit-based and transparent. Top performers from regular matchmaking can earn weekly invites, while exceptional players who consistently impress during their invited sessions can earn permanent spots. This system ensures a constant influx of fresh talent while maintaining the league's high standards.

For many, FPL represents more than just another competitive ladder - it's a proving ground where future stars can make their mark alongside established professionals, creating a unique environment that continues to shape the future of competitive gaming.

With the start of the next season, players above 2800 will experience a soft elo reset. The further you are out from 2800 the stronger the reset will be, however players will keep the rank order they were in, but they'll be closer as the battle commences for Season 4.

Why are you making changes to FPL?

We’re adapting to the new 2025 Valve schedule to better align with the needs of professional and aspiring professional players. Additionally, we’re committed to providing the community with more opportunities to qualify for and participate in FPL on a weekly basis.

What has changed in FPL?
We have updated the FPL schedule in each region to have dedicated days and start times. The schedule is as follows:

  • Europe: Friday and Saturday from 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM CET
  • North  America: Thursday through Saturday from 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM EST
  • South America: Monday through Thursday from 9:00 PM - 3:00 AM BRT
  • Middle East: Friday and Saturday from 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM EET

Additionally, each week will have its own leaderboard where players can compete for cash prizes and climb the FPL leaderboard. Players will also earn points towards the new FPL leaderboard which determines the seasonal champions, prioritizing performance in the most competitive matches.

There are now more opportunities for players to participate in FPL. The top 10 non-FPL players on the FACEIT rankings in EU, and top 30 in NA and SA will be invited to join for the upcoming FPL weekend. These players also have the potential for a permanent spot in FPL by impressing professional players or finishing in the top 3 in the seasonal leaderboard.

Introducing FPL Points

FPL Points are given to the players who actively play in FPL. Those FPL Points count toward a separate leaderboard which offers a bigger prize pool at the end of the FACEIT season. The more you play and win FPL Matches, the more you advance inside the FPL Circuit Leaderboard.

FPL Points will be a new metric used exclusively within FPL competitions. Players can only earn these points by participating in FPL events, and they will be distinct from Elo, which tracks performance in our general matchmaking system. After each FPL weekend, FPL points players earned based on their placement in the leaderboards inside of the hubs will be updated. These points will accumulate over the season to reflect the player's performance in FPL over the season. The point breakdown for placements in the weekly FPL leaderboard are as follows:
