Challenger Queue Official Rules

1.0 OVERVIEW

1.1 Challenger Queue is a limited-time competitive matchmaking queue designed to provide the highest quality matches for Europe's top Counter-Strike players.

1.2 The queue will be available for five (5) days between August 5th and August 9th and is only accessible to eligible players who have received access from FACEIT.

    1.2.1 The queue times are open between 6PM CEST and 11PM CEST.

1.3 Participation in Challenger Queue constitutes acceptance of these Rules and Regulations as well as the FACEIT Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.

1.4 FACEIT reserves the right to modify the operating schedule if necessary due to technical issues or operational requirements.

2.0 ELIGIBILITY

2.1 Access is limited to players who satisfy one or more of the following criteria:

    2.1.1 Players on the Top 50 Valve Regional Standings (VRS) teams in Europe.

    2.1.2 The Top 500 FACEIT Elo players in the European region.

    2.1.3 Players on a Top 50 Global VRS team who are currently in Europe.

2.2 Eligibility is determined solely by FACEIT and receiving access does not guarantee permanent participation.

3.0 QUEUE FORMAT

3.1 The Challenger Queue follows the standard high stakes FACEIT matchmaking experience however is solo queue and duo queue only.

3.2 Matchmaking will prioritize creating the highest quality matches possible.

3.3 FACEIT reserves the right to adjust matchmaking parameters throughout the event.

4.0 PLAYER CONDUCT

4.1 Players are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and sportsmanship.

4.2 Participants must meet the following behavior expectations:

    4.2.1 Make a genuine effort to win every match.

    4.2.2 Follow all FACEIT platform rules.

    4.2.3 Treat teammates and opponents respectfully.

    4.2.4 Communicate effectively.

    4.2.5 Cooperate with teammates.

    4.2.6 Follow admin instructions when applicable.

4.3 The following behavior is prohibited:

    4.3.1 Toxicity, harassment, or hate speech.

    4.3.2 Racism, sexism, or discrimination.

    4.3.3 Threats, griefing, or leaving matches.

    4.3.4 Exploiting bugs or unintended game mechanics.

4.4 Violations may result in removal from Challenger Queue in addition to normal FACEIT penalties.

5.0 COMPETITIVE INTEGRITY

5.1 Match fixing, stream sniping, ghosting, and cheating are strictly prohibited.

    5.1.1 Use of third-party software or account sharing is prohibited.

    5.1.2 Smurfing, queue manipulation, and win trading are prohibited.

    5.1.3 Intentionally dodging matches to influence matchmaking is prohibited.

5.2 Any player found engaging in these activities will be permanently removed and subject to further disciplinary action.

    5.2.1 Players who are under investigation for any of these actions may temporarily have their access to Challenger Queue suspended.

6.0 PLAYER PERFORMANCE

6.1 Challenger Queue is intended to provide a high-quality competitive environment for the top players in the region.

6.2 Participants are expected to meet the following standards:

    6.2.1 Make a genuine effort to win every match and communicate effectively.

    6.2.2 Play to the best of their ability and maintain a professional attitude.

6.3 FACEIT reserves the right to review player performance throughout the event.

    6.3.1 Players who consistently demonstrate poor performance or disruptive behavior may have their access revoked.

7.0 DISCONNECTS

7.1 Players are responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection.

7.2 Repeated disconnects or technical issues that negatively impact match quality may result in disciplinary action.

7.3 FACEIT admins may make exceptions in extraordinary circumstances.

8.0 LEADERBOARD AND PRIZING

8.1 The leaderboard is calculated based on 6 points for a win and deducting 4 points for a loss.

    8.1.1 Players on a win streak of 3+ games will receive a 2-point bonus per win.

8.2 Matches that begin before the queue closes and finish after the queue closes will still count towards the leaderboard.

8.3 In case of a tiebreaker on the leaderboards, the following logic will apply.

    8.3.1 Higher matches played takes precedence.

    8.3.2 If still tied, higher win percentage takes precedence.

    8.3.3 If tied in all aspects, prizes will be summed and equally divided.

8.4 Players must have a minimum of 20 games during the event to be eligible for prize winnings.

    8.4.1 Stipend eligibility requires at least 10 matches played.

8.5 Due to the current SWIFT sanctions on Russian banks, Russian players will not be eligible to win prizes from FACEIT leaderboards for the time being.

    8.5.1 We will automatically award prizes only to eligible players on the leaderboard.

    8.5.2 We’ll provide an update on this if this is to change in the future.

8.6 Players must claim any prizes they win within two (2) years of the date they win the applicable leaderboard.

    8.6.1 After this two-year period, unclaimed prizes will no longer be eligible for redemption.

8.7 All winning players will be contacted within 60 days via their registered FACEIT email address from “Payment Labs” where they will be provided with the final steps of the claim process.

     8.7.1 Players must have a valid payment account and be in good standing with Payment Labs in order to receive their prize.

8.8 If you are a minor, we require parental or guardian consent to proceed with the payment transaction.

9.0 ADMIN DISCRETION

9.1 FACEIT admins retain final authority over all Challenger Queue operations.

9.2 Admins may interpret rules, investigate conduct, modify settings, and remove players.

    9.2.1 All admin decisions are final.

10.0 ACCEPTANCE OF RULES

By participating in the FACEIT Challenger Queue, players agree to comply with these Rules and Regulations. FACEIT reserves the right to enforce these rules and issue penalties, including removal from Challenger Queue, at its sole discretion.
