From August 05, your FACEIT profile saves your journey by displaying each FACEIT Season separately.
Your Elo milestones and best moments are recorded separately instead of blurring into one lifetime, latest number, so once you hit a peak, it's saved, even if your Elo dips later.
What is changing on the profile for Season 9?
Your profile now displays each season on its own, with that season's activity, Elo, averages, best stats, and season high. It also shows your most-played maps with your win rate on each. Your CS2 and CS:GO match counts are now separated too.
Why are CS2 and CS:GO counts being split?
Because players asked for exactly this. When we put the question to the community last year, the answer was clear: split CS2 out, but don't lose the CS:GO history. Now you can more easily tell a recent grinder from a long-standing veteran player.
What can I see about my maps?
Your map pool with your win rate and activity on each map is now shown on your profile. It's built from your match history, so you can see how you play without external plugins.
Will I lose my season high if I keep playing?
No, this is the point of the update. Your season high is saved the moment you reach it, so even if you keep playing and your Elo drops later, your peak for that season stays on your profile. You never have to stop playing to protect an achievement.
Will past seasons be backfilled?
Yes, as far as the data allows. We're restoring previous seasons so your history reaches back as far as possible, though the further back we go, the less complete the data may be.
Won't this make people play for stats instead of to win?
Almost everything shown rewards winning. Your season high only rises by winning, and your win rates per map and per teammate are win-based too. There's little to gain from pushing and dying, and a single good game is unlikely to be judged better than a win rate that slides over a season.
Why build this instead of fixing cheaters or smurfs?
The stats team and the anti-cheat team are separate groups, so this work doesn't come at the cost of integrity. Anti-Cheat has its own Season 9 update on what they're working on, and the two aren't competing for the same people's time.
Is it free?
Yes, Premium is not required for any of these changes.
When does it launch?
Season 9, August 5. This is the first version, and we'll keep adding to it based on what players ask for. If you have any feedback, please send it to @_rchh on X.
