Schedule structure setup

You need to be an Admin+ on the tournament to adjust these settings.  

Navigate to the “Settings” tab when viewing a tournament. then open it up through “Schedule.” Here, you can adjust the time for each tournament stage - from sign-ups to round times.

Teams can join the tournament only between the sign-up open and sign-up close dates/times. You can also create breaks in your tournament by scheduling rounds for different days & times. If needed, you can also schedule the matches to start ASAP (as soon as possible), meaning the match in that very round will begin as soon as all teams have been determined in the previous round.

Check-in structure setup

Teams that sign up may not always actually show up and participate in your tournament. Check-in times help to prevent this and ensure tournament teams are ready to play in the tournament.

Check-in opens

• All players automatically receive an email and mobile app notification when check-in opens
• To check-in, team captains must click the "Check-in" button on the tournament overview page

Purge missing check-ins

• Teams that do not check in within the clear time frame are removed from the tournament.
• Clearing check-ins allows other teams to sign up and fill their slot. We recommend using 30 minutes before the sign-up period closes.
• If a team that missed the check-in clear deadline turns up before sign-ups close and the tournament has free slots left, they can still sign up again to play.

Match rescheduling setup

You can enable rescheduling to allow teams some flexibility in deciding when to play out matches for the entire tournament.

Allowing teams to reschedule match times helps reduce forfeits for teams who cannot play on specific times or days.

With having this enabled,

• Teams can submit a proposal to the opposing team captain to change the match date/time via the Matchroom.
• The other team captain can accept or make a counter proposal from the tournament Matchroom.

Rescheduling a Match from a Player’s perspective

• You must be logged in and must be the team captain.
• Go to the Matchroom page.
• You should see a “Reschedule” button on the Matchroom; click it to create a rescheduled proposal.
• Once you’ve clicked “Reschedule,” a new window will be shown where you need to select the desired day and then the time you would like to play during the selected day.

The days and times available to offer will be highlighted. The times shown on the rescheduling tool reflect the timezone selected on your FACEIT profile.

• Once you have selected the new date and time, you can confirm and send the proposal by clicking the “Reschedule Match” button.
• Now that your reschedule proposal has been approved, your opponents can accept or counteroffer it. The match will be played on the default date and time if none of the proposals are accepted.

Once the reschedule proposal is accepted and you would like to reschedule the match again, please agree with your opponent on the match room chat and use the Call Admin feature to get the match rescheduled.
