What are Missions?

Missions are a way for players to earn additional rewards for winning matches on FACEIT. Every month, player’s can complete their designated number of wins to be awarded with a reward, usually in the form of FACEIT Points.

Some Missions are special, one-off or timed exclusively. Keep an eye out for these to earn additional rewards!

Can I change my Missions?

At this time, Missions cannot be changed.

As we are still in the beta phase for FACEIT Missions, we are still testing a lot of aspects of the Missions system, and how player’s interact with them. If you have any feedback on this, please let us know on the Forums!

How do I get Missions?

FACEIT Missions, for the most part, are available only to Premium players. We are still in the process of rolling the Missions beta out so, if you can’t see the Missions page, subscribing to a Premium Membership will not unlock the feature.

There may be some one-off or special Missions that are available to free and Supporter players in the future.

Will free users get access to Missions?

At the moment, FACEIT Missions are planned to be a primarily Premium feature, but there may be some one-off or special Missions that are available to free and Supporter players in the future.

Why don’t I have Missions?

We are still in the beta phase of the FACEIT Missions programme and not all users currently have access to them. During this rollout, you will eventually gain access to the feature, but it’s just a matter of waiting as they are rolling out systematically.

The Support Team will not be able to activate Missions on your account.

What games / game modes are currently supported by FACEIT Missions?

At this moment in time, the only games that are supported by FACEIT Missions is Counter Strike: Global Offensive, TF2 and DOTA. Players can progress in their Missions through FACEIT Matchmaking and select Hubs. Tournament games will not progress a player’s Missions.

Will Missions be coming to other games?

At the moment, we are focused on nailing down the Mission experience before moving too far out of Counter Strike: Global Offensive. There are a few special Missions planned for other titles on the platform in the short term, but for the moment, regular Missions are only available for CS:GO, TF2 and DOTA 2.

What can I earn from Missions?

Missions award primarily FACEIT Points which can then be used in the FACEIT Shop. There may be some one-off and special Missions which can award other prizes, so keep your eyes peeled for those!

My latest win didn’t contribute towards my Mission progress. What can I do?

There are two reasons why this may happen: the game played wasn’t eligible to progress a player’s Mission or it was a bug.

Players can only progress their Missions through FACEIT Matchmaking and select Hubs. Tournament games will not progress a player’s Missions.

If your match was eligible, but didn’t contribute; we are currently in the beta phase for the FACEIT Missions programme, we expect some players will experience bugs with this. We have found that, in some cases, a win won’t show up for a player, but after one or two more wins, the previous win will display. The team are aware of this issue and actively looking into it.

If, after this, a player’s Mission progress hasn’t updated, they should submit a support ticket to the team to investigate on their behalf.

Why do I not have the same Mission(s) as my friend(s)?

As we are currently in the beta stage for FACEIT Mission, we are still running extensive tests on what works best for the Missions. This may mean that you and your friend(s) may be in different testing groups and therefore receive different missions.

At this time, you cannot change the testing group you are a part of, nor can the Support team.

If I purchase a Premium Membership or enter the Mission’s beta part-way through the month, do my previous wins count towards the Mission’s progress?

At this time, the Mission’s progress starts from the moment you have access to them and are not retroactively added. Purchasing a Premium Membership or gaining access to the beta part-way through the month will mean that, from that point, your wins will add progress to your Missions.

When do Missions refresh?

Missions will refresh on the first of the month. Any progress towards a player’s Missions will then be reset, and the countdown timer will roll over to the length of that month.

How many Missions can I have each month?

During the beta phase, players can currently have a maximum of two missions. There may be one-off or special missions which can be completed too - these will not count towards the player’s two mission maximum (effectively giving player’s three or more Missions).

Why is there currently such a large difference in between the two Missions I have?

As we are still in the beta phase for FACEIT Missions, we are still testing a lot of elements surrounding the Missions. Each player currently has two Missions: one small and one large. The large one may seem unattainable to some players, while others may be able to breeze through it. We are collecting all of this data and it will help to improve the FACEIT Missions programme in the future.
