How to download your GOTV demos.

Where are my demo's located?

All demos are located on the match room pages of the games you have played. These are located below your personal stats. To get to this page just click on your name in the top right hand corner, your personal profile will then show on the main page. 

From here all you have to do is click on the CS:GO icon, which will then load your stats page. Then scroll down to the match where you want to download the GOTV demo, and click on it.

Your match room will load and you will see in the centre of the page the uploaded GOTV demo button for you to download.

Click on the "WATCH DEMO" button and a new window will pop up asking you where you want to download this demo too? Make sure you navigate to where your "csgo" folder is located on your computer. 

The default location is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo

Please note: All our GOTV demos are now zipped in a .gz file. This requires you to unzip the file to access the .dem file of the demo. You can use any sort of free program offered on the internet. 

Navigate to where you put your file and right click on it and extract it using the program you have downloaded and installed. I personally use Winrar and choose the "Extract Here" option.

The demo in the room page does not download

If you try to download the demo and you get a XML error. This means either the demo is still uploading after the match has concluded, or that the demo upload failed and the demo has been lost due to a issue with our system. 

If you are trying to download it right after the match has finished and get this error please wait a bit and let it finish uploading. All our demos are 64tick so they are a bit larger, especially if you go into Overtime. If you try again later and the demo still does not upload please let us know by submitting a ticket. We most likely can not retrieve the demo but it will let us know that there is a possible issue.
