Can I reset my stats and elo?
Unfortunately, the simple answer is "No" we do not perform stats and elo resets on players accounts.
A players stats are a representation of their skills on our platform good and bad. In esports, a split second can determine the winner or a loser in a match. We pride ourselves on having the industry’s most accurate data to create the competitive edge for all players on our platform. These stats are pulled and integrated into all the matches played on your profile.
Stats are a learning curve to gauge your growth as a player on our platform and to give you a representation of how you are improving. Our stats are also tied into all your matches ever played on our platform. Resetting of your stats would eliminate these matches and your game history thus being lost forever. This meaning you would never be able to go back and check demos or your game play in order to see mistakes you have made and know what to do next time in certain situations.
Elo is a reflection of all games you have played on our platform. Being a competitive platform we do not reset these stats either in order to ensure that players who play on our platform are playing to win and have a competitive sportsmanlike mindset when playing. We only offer competitive style of game play as such your elo represents this. We do offer free matchmaking on our platform but this does not mean that you can just play for fun as these games also gain you points in our Monthly, Daily and Community Night ladders where you can win FACEIT points or great sponsored prizes. As such when playing on our platform you should be playing to win!
For free users an account reset would mean the loss of your rank in our Unranked Monthly ladders. The stats are also built into our Paid Leagues for Subscribers on our platform and if reset would result in the removal of your ladder and all points gained. Thus another reason why we do not reset stats on our platform as to ensure that the points you have worked so hard to achieve each month are maintained and not lost.
