Having issues with our anti-cheat client?
"Forbidden driver" error and blocked drivers
Windows 10 Insider builds
We can not guarantee that the Anti-Cheat will work properly with Windows 10 Insider builds, they might cause issues such as the application not being able to start, or random crashes (including blue screens). If you are using one of these builds, please downgrade to a stable version of Windows 10.
NVIDIA ShadowPlay is not working
NVIDIA ShadowPlay no longer works if the Anti-Cheat is running with the most recent NVIDIA drivers. NVIDIA is aware of the issue, and we are waiting for a fix. The only solution is to revert your drivers to GeForce 442.74.

FPS drops / input lag
If you are experiencing FPS drops or input lag in CS:GO while using the Anti-Cheat, this may be caused by another application which interacts with the game. The AC will automatically start the game with -allow_third_party_software, so this means that any 3rd party overlays will work, while they would be blocked by default by the game if you don't use the AC.
You can test if this problem is caused by a 3rd party application by adding -allow_third_party_software to your CS:GO launch options, and testing without the Anti-Cheat. If you do not have the issue while doing that, please do the following tests:
- Do not queue for any FACEIT match
- Start the AC and the game
- Play on a non-FACEIT server, e.g. Deathmatch
- Check if you have the issue here
and also:
- In Windows search box, type msconfig and open System Configuration
- Click on the Services tab, tick Hide all Microsoft services, select Disable all, then tick back Steam Client Service and FACEITService.
- Click on the Startup tab, click on Open Task Manager
- Click on the Startup tab of the Task Manager
- Select each Startup item and click Disable
- Reboot your PC
- Play a FACEIT match with only FACEIT AC, Steam and CS GO open, close everything else
- Check if you still have the issue
Open a support ticket with the result of these two tests.
AutoHotkey is forbidden, please close it and restart FACEIT AC
If you are running AutoHotkey, simply close it. Otherwise, it means that you have a program running that was compiled by AutoHotkey, which you will need to close for the AC to work properly.
Wrong GPU used on dual GPU laptops, resulting in low FPS
The game might start on the wrong GPU in some cases, when using the AC. You might need to force the usage of the Nvidia/AMD GPU instead of the Intel one on the game, to make sure the game starts on the right one. You can do this through the Nvidia/AMD control panel.
You need to enable the NX/Execute Disable bit in your computer BIOS
"Error verifying digital signature. Make sure your system's root certificates are up to date."
"You need to have Kernel Patch Protection enabled to launch FACEIT AC"
"You need to have the Anti-cheat client running to connect"
If you have this error when trying to connect to the game server, this is usually because you are not running the AC, or you are trying to connect from the wrong Steam account.
This could also happen if you are not starting the game through Steam, for example if you created a shortcut to the executable file which is in the game folder. You will need to launch it through Steam or create a proper shortcut from the Steam client.
