Ladders provide an excellent means to monitor your skills, elevate your rank, secure rewards, and potentially attain a place in the FACEIT Pro League.
For the duration of the beta there will be weekly ladders as well as a Kickoff ladder that runs for the whole duration of the beta.
HOW TO ACCESS WEEKLY LADDERS?
The weekly ladders are open to all players with FACEIT points available as rewards. To join these ladders, simply queue up and play and you'll instantly participate in the corresponding ladder.
Prizes will be distributed within 48 hours of ladder completion.
HOW TO ACCESS THE KICKOFF LADDER?
The kickoff ladders will run over each play session of the beta and will highlight the best players from across the globe. Everyone will be instantly placed into this ladder once you play a match. You can find all available ladders here: https://www.faceit.com/en/ow2/ladders
This ladder will have FACEIT Point and OW2 coin prizes.
Prizes shall be paid out within 48 hours of their completion.
HOW ARE LADDER POINTS CALCULATED?
Every player will start with 0 points. Based on the outcome of a match, players will win or lose points based on the following criteria:
- Points system Flat
- Points per win +14
- Points per loss -9
Balanced scoring: Actual number of points awarded per win/loss may differ based on the precalculated teams' winning probabilities.
The deduction of points is applied to all members of the parties with significant differences in the rating. The size of the penalty depends on the distance in the rating among all party members.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A POINTS TIE?
Players with identical ladder points enter a tiebreaker based on the following criteria (in order of priority):
- Matches won
- Matches played
If these are equal, the winner will be chosen at random.
