How to use FACEIT Voice in OW2 PUGs

Join FACEIT Voice

When playing OW2 PUGs in a party, there's no need to worry about external voice tools. You can easily use the integrated FACEIT voice system to communicate with your teammates anytime.

To start a voice chat, you need to create a party first. Simply click the plus symbol in the lobby or select "View Party" in the top navigation bar. Once your party is set up, open the party tray on the right side and click the "Join" button.

Before proceeding with the steps, we strongly recommend downloading the FACEIT Client for the best voice experience.

If you don’t have the necessary permissions (as shown in the screenshot below) to use FACEIT voice, it’s likely that you haven’t granted browser access to your microphone and speaker.

Make sure to grant the necessary permissions in your browser settings. You can find further instructions by hovering over “Permissions required” in the message. After enabling your speaker and microphone in the browser, you may need to refresh the page before you can start using FACEIT Voice.

Adjust your settings

Once you’ve successfully connected, the voice settings will open.
Here, you can select a voice preset, configure your microphone and speakers, and adjust the volume for both.

The available voice presets include:

Baseline: Balanced clarity and latency for a balanced conversation environment.

Clarity: Superior audio clarity for immersive conversations.

Performance: Ideal for competitive performance where communication is crucial.

The two screenshots below illustrate the following perspectives:

a) When you are not yet part of a party, you can see how many members are currently using Voice. By opening the Members section, you can also view who is using it.

b) When you have joined the party, additional icons become visible, such as the option to mute a player if necessary. Additionally, by clicking on the name of another party member, you gain access to extra options, like adjusting their sound volume.

Access Advanced Settings

You can access the advanced settings by clicking on "View More Settings" below.

Within the advanced settings, you can adjust your microphone activation and select either Voice Activation or Push-to-Talk.

In the second tab, you can configure your key bindings for actions such as using Push-to-Talk, toggling your mic, or muting the speaker.

Keep in mind that hotkeys will only work when the browser tab has focus (as mentioned in the screenshot). The client will additionally offer superior voice quality, reduced latency, and enhanced noise-cancellation features. Considering this, we strongly recommend downloading the FACEIT client before queuing up with your party!

Leave FACEIT Voice

When you’ve finished your match or wish to exit FACEIT Voice, click the red headphone icon with the cross in the top right corner.
