OWCS Veto System Guide

Vetoes

Map vetoes will commence at the scheduled start time for the match. The vetoes will appear in the centre of your screen in the match room and team captains will take turns to vote.

Please note that veto procedures explained in this post may differ depending on the event. Refer to the event-specific rulebook or contact the administration of the event if unsure or have any questions about their process.

The map selection/veto process on the FACEIT platform works as follows:

  • In every match, the higher-seeded team must choose to act as Team A or Team B.
  • For any match without a higher-seeded team, a coinflip will be used to determine Team A or Team B.

Seeding

Seeding orders teams based on their recent performances to create matchups in a tournament bracket. The lower the seed number, the higher the team is rated.

Example of First to Three (FT3) vetoes

Game 2 - Hybrid

Game 3 - Push

Game 4 - Flashpoint

Game 5 - Escort

Server will be selected automatically. Team A will do the first map selection, Team B will decide the sides.

This continues for all games.
