FACEIT Tournament/Cup Default Rules

By entering a FACEIT tournament/cup, the player/team fully agrees to all rules without reserve.

To see and read the full ruleset you can find this on the main page of all event pages and in every match room page for each round of the event. It is indicated in the above image with the red arrow on the left. For more info on events and articles related to the event you can click on the Info button on the right.

When in doubt about any aspect of the ruling, or if you have any questions related to FACEIT, have only your Team CAPTAIN contact an admin before you or your team does anything. An Admins decisions must be respected and executed without delay.

1. Prerequisites
By entering a FACEIT tournament, the player fully agrees to all of the rules without reserve.
Always and only use the English language on the FACEIT website and on the in game chat.
When in doubt about any aspect of the ruling, or if you have any question related to FACEIT, contact a Live Support admin or the organizer admin before doing anything.A Live Support admins or organizer admin decisions must be respected and executed without delay.

2. Account

2.1. - FACEiT Account:
In order to participate to the FACEIT regular tournaments, the player must have a valid account on the FACEIT website.

Every participant is bound to enter into the event using their game account that is used to participate in the FACEIT Cup to their profile.

2.2. - Game Account:
In order to participate to the FACEIT regular tournaments/organizer events, the player must have a valid account on the game website and client. The player must ensure the client is up to date with the latest version before checking in for the event.

2.3. - Third Party Visibility:
By attending the FACEIT Cup/Organizer event, participants acknowledge the visibility of their game account for third party individuals.

2.4. - Regions:
Due to latency being an important quality factor in online gaming, players from other regions will be defined in the overview of the event and must be followed unless expressly been given permission by tournament admins.

3.Cheats & Bans
3.1. Banned accounts:
FACEIT reserves itself the right to bar participants who are banned by the game developer. If caught cheating on our platform with our anti cheat, the account is banned permanently and the user may request to play after two years of compliance to the ban. Violators of the ban on any such new accounts will have the account banned permanently for ban evasion.

4. Rule Violation & Punishment
4.1. - Sanction:
Issues during a match from the beginning of the match to the end must be reported right away and can not be reported after the fact as this constitutes acceptance of the issue by the opposing team. A player may be cautioned and receive a ban if he commits any of the following offences:

  • Refuses to follow Admin instructions.
  • Shows dissent by word or action towards other players.
  • Uses insulting language and/or gestures towards other players.
  • Is guilty of unsporting behavior in a match.
  • Griefing/Trolling
  • Ghosting
  • Spamming
  • Mislead or dupe any Admins

4.2. - Match Protests:
Protests of any kind have to be reported to the Admin. The admin will investigate the incident and respond with conclusions to you directly.

4.3. - Multiple Accounts:
Players are not allowed to create multiple accounts on our platform according to our Terms and Conditions. Any player caught doing so will have their second account permanently banned and if caught boosting will have their main account given a short cooldown as well.

4.4. - Multiple Events:
If a player or team has joined more than one events running at the same time, the player or team will be disqualified from all the events they have joined.

5. Other
5.1. - Party/Team names:
Please fill in your team name accordingly. Team Names/Avatars should not contain any offensive or racist content. If you come across a player/team breaking this rule then please submit a ticket with relevant evidence (Screenshot/Recording) so action can be taken against the player/team in question. Team captains ignoring this rule can end up with a ban from the platform.

5.2. - In-game Name/Avatars:
In-game Names/Avatars should not contain any offensive or racist content. If you come across a player breaking this rule then please submit a ticket with relevant evidence to the game support system(Screenshot/Recording) so action can be taken against the player in question.
